Foot-It-N Beta 0.3
Instructions
- Start the application you want to drive with Foot-It-N and set it to full screen
- Start Foot-it-N and arrange the window on the screen (place it in a point where it doesn't cover any useful button)
- Click on "MIDI config" to select your MIDI input device. Your choice will be saved for next uses.
- Click on "Key Assign" to configure your MIDI actions
- Click on "New"
- Give a name for your actions' collection (next time you can recall the one you want from the list. Foot-It-N will automatically load the last collection you used last time)
- Select the new collection on the "file" box to edit it
- Click on "Assign new key"
- Give a name for the action
- Send a MIDI command (keyboard note, foot control, etc)
- If all is right click on "Confirm" else click on "Repeat" and send another command
- Confirm again
- Click on the button (in the application you want to drive) you want to assign to the MIDI command
- Repeat this steps for all the actions you want to assign
- NEXT and PREVIOUS actions are programmed in a similar way. With this actions you can drive MIDI commands that acts in a sequence in forward or reverse mode.
- The SEQUENCE box contains a list of actions that you can define in a sequence clicking on ">" "<<" ">>" and ">" buttons.
- You can change the sequence order with "Up" and "Down" buttons
- Press OK to save all the data
- Now that you defined your actions and sequence you can start the program with the "START" key (when you will open Foot-It-N next time it will remember the last MIDI device and collection you used)
- The blue box starts blinking telling you that Foot-It-N is waiting for a command
- Send someone of the MIDI commands you defined and the program will click the corresponding application button
- If you use the NEXT and PREVIOUS assigned MIDI controls you will activate the actions you defined step by step in sequence (forward or reverse)
